Jean Marie Buckley is the founder of TAI. She is a quantitative economist and has conducted technical analyses in areas such as unfunded pension obligations, county credit performance and debt capacity. Prior to her various financial advisory activities, she served as Assistant Professor of Economics and Statistics at Pomona College and Claremont Graduate School, worked as a Fedwatcher and money market economist in the government securities division of Bank of America, and worked for two securities dealers and two municipal financial advisory firms. In working with clients, Ms. Buckley typically manages the entire scope of each financing or consulting project.
Ms. Buckley received her B.S. degree in Economics as a Regents Scholar at the University of California. She earned an M.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of California and an M.A. degree in Economics from Claremont Graduate School. She is a Certified Independent Public Finance Advisor through the National Association of Public Finance Advisors. She is an associate member of the California Association of County Treasurers and Tax Collectors.
Ms. Buckley held Series 7, 53 and 62 licenses when she worked with underwriting firms in the early 1990s.
Stephen J. Marsh is Vice President at TAI. Mr. Marsh worked for Industrial Indemnity Financial Corporation, formerly a municipal bond insurer, as a senior credit analyst and underwriter. He was responsible for reviewing credit enhancement applications from issuers and managing ongoing risks for a portfolio of guaranteed issues. More recently, Mr. Marsh has served as an accredited business appraiser and has valued over 250 companies. He has also served as an expert witness in court proceedings and arbitrations, including retention by the IRS. Mr. Marsh is a trained expert in cash flow, balance sheet and financial modeling.
Mr. Marsh earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an M.B.A. degree from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Marsh has served as President of the Business Valuation Roundtable in Northern California.
